AAMPACT General Meeting: Online for the First Time

The first AAMPACT General Assembly of 2020 took place on June 5th. For the first time there was no physical meeting, instead, due to the current Corona situation it took place as an online conference with 51 participants. By now probably everyone in a business environment is used to this kind of meeting. The event was different from the previous ones, but as always very informative.

The update on AAMPACT activities, the presentation of the 2019 annual results, the auditors' report and the discharge of the board, treasurer and steering committee were the internal topics that were quickly dealt with.

Michael Johannes and Olaf Musshoff presented Messe Frankfurt’s activities with regard to the Automechanika. Covid-19 has enormous, above all financial, consequences for the global trade fair industry. The fact that the Automechanika is not taking place and will be postponed for a year has never happened before. In view of the current situation, however, it is a wise decision by those responsible for the fair, which has received a great deal of approval and recognition from our members.

Supported by Marga Casas Lleida and Alla Muntian, Aldo Silva presented the new working group "Young Professionals" and its goals.

Bryan Marschall from TecAlliance informed about the new "Order Manager", Gwenael de Calan reported on the progress with the car manufacturers on data availability in CARUSO and Frank Schlehuber rounded off the presentations with news from Brussels on the topics of Extended Vehicle, New Type Approval and MVBER / BER.
