AAMPACT initiatives on good course

The two AAMPACT industry initiatives "Qualität ist Mehrwert" and "my-cardictionary.com” / “mein-autolexikon.de" continue to make good progress. At the annual meeting of the marketing managers from the member companies on 6 July in Cologne, the results achieved so far were thoroughly reviewed and the course for the next year was set.

At the beginning of the well-attended meeting, Alexander Brenner, partner at BCG (Boston Consulting Group), presented the most important trends from their current study "Aftermarket 2030".

The necessity and importance of our initiatives in regard to consumer education on the one hand and the quality and sustainability of independent workshops on the other hand became crystal clear again.

Thorben Brück, from MSH & More, presented the current measures and activities of "mein-autolexikon.de", which now has over 3 million visitors per year. Currently, the enclyclopaedia is undergoing a complete reorganisation in which separate sections for hybrid and battery-electric vehicles are being created.

Chi-Hou Fung, presented the planned steps for further internationalisation.

"Qualiät ist Mehrwert" is also broadening its presence and has over 8,500 registered newsletter recipients among passenger car and commercial vehicle workshops in German-speaking countries. Anna-Maria Guth, from CGW GmbH, clearly showed how the increased online activities, new formats such as regular online meetings with several workshops, the cooperation with FabuCar and Schrauberblog and the vocational training activities are bearing good fruit. These measures will be continued next year and supplemented by short films and on-site measures.

Finally, the AAMPACT stand at Automechanika was discussed, which focuses on the two industry initiatives and the New Automotive Aftermarket Generation, NAAG.

Many thanks to all participants and let´s take the next steps.
