AAMPACT Working Group Logistics at Schaeffler in Halle

At the invitation of Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket, the Logistics Working Group met for its annual meeting in Halle. The intensive exchange about current logistics topics in the conference hotel was followed by a snack and an impressive tour of the nearby logistics centre where the repair kits are assembled. Many thanks to Eduardo Sack, Global Logistics Manager at Schaeffler, for the interesting and impressive insights and the hospitality.

It was also pleasing to hear in the conference section that the supply situation is easing again and container and pallet availability has improved considerably. However, the staff situation is a cause for concern. The shortage of labour, especially of qualified staff, is an overarching problem for all participants. The high cost pressure due to inflation, rising energy prices and personnel costs also affect all member companies.
